Grayson Colt Holmes

Colt is the owner of Holmes Law, specializing in DUI and criminal defense, personal injury cases, and civil defense litigation.

Before founding Holmes Law, Colt was a partner at Bartlett and Grippe. Prior to his tenure at Bartlett and Grippe, he served as a prosecutor at the Chief State’s Attorney’s office in Rocky Hill. During this time, he prosecuted criminal and DUI cases in various courthouses across the state and defended the Commissioner of Corrections in habeas actions.

Prior to his role as a prosecutor, Colt specialized in DUI and criminal defense law. He has litigated numerous cases and effectively represented hundreds of criminal defendants.

Colt received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Connecticut Law School and is a graduate of the University of Georgia, where he received a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and English. He is published as the author of “The New Employment Verification Act: the Functionality & Constitutionality of Biometrics in the Hiring Process,” 43 Conn. Law. 673 (2010) and has also served as a clerk to The Honorable Michael Sheldon.
